Hi,

Here is the latest information i received from the C2-01 unit:

I expect the new SW to be available for C2-01 very soon. 

Youtube videos cannot be played in Airtel India network (X2-

00) and also for C2-01.

When trying to play videos from Youtube

(http://www.youtube.com) while using Airtel India network,

error message is displayed (e.g. "No response. Try again", or

"Unable to open file", or "Operation failed").
If this error is persistent, refer to solution described below.

If the error happens only temporarily, this is due to non-

optimal network coverage and cannot be fixed in the device.

Solution:

Default access point (APN) "Airtel Live!" is not suitable for

streaming videos from Youtube.
Perform the following steps in order to change the APN

manually:

Go to main menu -> press "Menu" -> "Settings" ->

"Configuration" -> "Preferred access pt." -> choose "Mobile

Office" (instead of "Airtel Live!") -> press "Select".

In case there is no APN named "Mobile Office" to choose,

please contact your operator to get APN settings directly.

If you get APN information as plain text, values must be

entered manually by selecting "Personal config. sett." in

"Configuration" menu. After having entered the correct values,

the newly created APN must be activated as described above.

Note: using a different APN than preconfigured by your

operator may result in high costs if not covered by your data

plan. If in doubt, check your contract details with your

operator before manually activating new APN settings!

I have new Nokia C2-01, i can not view the Youtube videos and the mobile not working in Streaming also. The error message shown ' Operation Failed ', now i used vodafone network. So tell me how to change the my mobile setting, configure to view the video.

Hi,

You need to update your phone sw. New sw has no any newer version number. It is only an update of Access Point settings for Vodafone network in India.
With the new settings, YouTube will work with Vodafone India network.

Please backup your phone before updating for the personal information.

Please let us know if it is OK.

1). Open Menu

2). Settings

3). Configuration Settings

4). Personal Configuration Settings

5). Options

6). Add New

7). Select streaming from the list leave the default account name as "my streaming" and just leave the default UDP ports

8). just check the setting "use preferred access point" is Yes and go back

there one profile will be created in the name of "my streaming" highlight it and just activate it from your options ,,,,,,

your streaming setting is ready for online videos..

[1] Account name : Live Tv
[2] UDP port range : 06970-32000
[3] Use preferred zccess pt.: no
[4] Go access point setting
[5] Proxy : disabled
[6] Data bearer : packet data
[7] Go to bearer settings
[8] Now In Access Point/APN Setting Enter your working access point/APN address.

Now come press back 2-3 times, press option and active this setting)

Hi, i am also have nokia C2-01 handset and i use BSNL network but i am unable to play youtube what should i i will do? I get setting from BSNL but it shows check connection setting. Plz help
