I am not sure of this is the right forum, but i just buy a nokia 6760 and i cannot sent a sms. when i made a sms and i put on sent then it will be changed to a later moment for sending but that never happen. the reason is given: cannot sent sms.

Please do You know the reason of it? and what can i do to change that.

I can receive sms and everything else is working fine

It seems the link is not working I have the ovi nokia working fine except the conact sync it stop in the middle and ask me to disconnect and connect . I try to do that and the problem still there . I switch off both devices and not yet resolve the problem. any ideas

actually the sync error seems to be back with Mail4Exchange (3.00.050).

I keep on geeting this error while trying to sync my google apps account with my nokia e71.

Yup, MfE v3.0 is not working with Google email. It fails with a Sync Error. Sometimes, it does connect and retrieves mails (folder format, too), but mostly ends up in a Sync Error.

This post is after 24 hours of using emoze on E71. The software is natively built for Symbian. Integrates into messaging system seamlessly which allows setting notifications, shortcut keys and behaves as it should.

I used emoze to connect to Exchange 2007 SP2 only. Looks like emoze uses a different kind of connectivity to the exchange server where in you have to give URL of the OWA site of the exchange.

Emails gets pushed without an issue. There is setting where cleanup of folders can be scheduled in various time intervals. Since no proper documentation, and not much time to test all the features, cannot confirm if that is about deleting emails on the server those are deleted from the phone.

Contact sync did not sync profile pictures. I have not checked how emoze would handle numbers stored under same title.

Have not checked calendar sync yet.

The most annyoing feature (maybe this is only in the free version) is the breaking news, sports, weather. Every 10 to 15 minutes, there is popup to remind me of a breaking news. I did not find settings to disable it.

There also is extended scheduling to enable push always-on, specific time of the day, days of the week, poll 15 minutes, 30 minutes etc. Last night before I went to sleep, I changed always-on peak time between 7am to 11pm. Regardless of this setting, I could hear breaking news beep throught the night.

My problem is critical but seems not to be included in the bug fix, and it doesn't seem to be of knowledge of the team.

I have a problem since when I installed the MfE. I uninstalled it from my n95 8 gb but it's still happening. It seems that a ramdom password comes from factory and can never be changed. I try to change it but when I hit ok, the size of the password keeps the same size than before, even if my password is only 6 characters. It looks like 16 characters. And then it tries to conect and tell me the password is invalid. For me it seems obvious that the config doesn't SAVE the typed password.

Just updated to MfE 3.00.050 in hopes of having this issued fixed. Currently my problem is that all day events in the Exchange calendar are changed into events that are 24hrs long instead of showing as Memo/Anniversary. This causes birthdays/anniversaries/holidays etc to show up as the next event spanning from 00:00-23:59. Also, upon consecutive syncs, the information is transferred back to Exchange as such, changing the all day events that show in exchange as a balloon at the top, into an event spanning the whole day (24hrs).

Hi islamomt, the password does get saved, the number of asterisk does not reflect number of characters in your password. This is done so people cannot guess your password length.

Yes MFE has lots of sync issues, connectivity issue, heartbeat issues. You can choose to live a little longer by not having headaches about these by purchasing RoadSync through OVI store which merely costs $15.

Hi,

For the person who was saying MFE was not working with their Google mail account - It's not meant to. MFE is meant for corporate email. Click on 'set-up email' from your homescreen or go via the 'messaging' folder and follow the steps there. you should only have to choose 'GMAIL' and enter your username and password and it will be set up. GMAIL is a POP3/IMAP internet based account.

Opps my Bad - but from looking at that link it looks like a lot more steps to set it up via MFE vs the in built messaging client. I've had Gmail working on lots of handsets and it was 2 steps or so and done. Plain text and HTML.

There are four ways to connect to gmail.

1) Native gmail application for S60. Advantage - Can do server side email text search.

2) POP. Disadv - lowest auto poll for new email that is settable on E71 is 15 min.

3) IMAP. Advantage - instant email. Disadvantage - Nokia messaging needs to be running in background (not seamlessly designed to run IMAP connection as background service)

4) Active Sync. Advantage - pure pushmail, calendar, contact sync. Disadvantage - still in early beta.

RoadSync connects to gmail using Active Sync seamlessly. MFE does not - I don't know if MFE is in beta or gmail active sync is.

Now, ive not been able to sync for a good few days. Ive had our exchange admin recreate SSL certs, sniff packets, etc etc. Nothing I do works, and the only error that is output is:

System Error. Try again later.

Not sure whats happened but if anyone can enlighten me then Id really appreciate it.

For all those mortal souls who need working MFE before aliens from Android world coup for good, here is version 2.7 which works like a charm

The downside compared to latest mfe 3 (in E71 FW 410.xx) - it doesn't sync profile picture, exchange folders and html view. But connectivity never falls back to 15 min polling. We are blessed.

For what it's worth, the bug referenced on the very first page of this post seems to (maybe) still exist in newest formware (031...) on E72. I use MfE in Nokia Messaging just to sync calendar and contacts from Google. It stopped syncing new calendar events. Finding this bug report, I disabled calendar sync, forced a sync, re-enabled calendar sync, ran another sync, and the missing events appeared. One of the worst parts, honestly, is that there is no feedback within this version of MfE about the syncing process. In my old E51, MfE could tell you what was going on and you would know if there was a problem. I wish that would be added back.
