Lumia 920 can't send message error

Is there a fix coming any time soon for the "unable to send message" error that randomly occurs on the 920? I have seen this problem mentioned on a lot of different phone forums now and it's starting to get very frustrating, especially seeing as this is meant to be Nokia's "flagship" smartphone.

 

I'm starting to regret "upgrading" from my Lumia 900, if I could go back I think I would. The 900 was a great phone (well after I put a strip of aluminium foil under the capacitive buttons to stop it randomly pressing buttons by itself anyway).

hi mate,

have you checked the condition of your SIM card? also might pay to check that you have all the correct network data settings on your phone, for MMS and data plan as well, and that the MMS and the data plan are activated. also check that you are up-to-date with all the latest Nokia system apps in the Store, and if that doesn't work still, then try performing a soft reset (pressing the volume down and power buttons together until the phone vibrates).

Thanks for the reply. I've done a soft and hard reset on the phone, replaced my sim card, checked and double checked all the APN settings etc and still no good. I've even tried reflashing it with different firmware and still the same problem.

 

Lots of others are also having the same issues so it's not specific to any carrier.

sad to hear that you are still experiencing problems. in this case, you have no choice but to take your phone back to your point of purchase, or if they are being less than helpful, to your local Nokia Care for inspection: http://nokia.com/support
