N8 Email Retrieval

Since updating the Symbian Anna software on my N8 phone last week, my email link appears not to be working! I have tried deleting the mailbox and starting again, but it won't even let me do that, it just says 'deleting mailbox' and looks like it's doing something then hangs. I've checked my email settings and nothing is any different - the email address is still on my home page but no data.

Any suggestions?
