Nokia c3-01 - setting up email for IMAP

Hi there,

Could someone tell me if you can use the Nokia Mail on the C3-01 to check IMAP email accounts?  I have had no problems setting up the usual hotmail/yahoo type emails, and another SMTP address, but everytime I try the IMAP address (Demon), I get an error message ("could not sign in, try again").

I am definitely putting the correct details in, the only reason I can think of that it isn't working is perhaps because this address is IMAP?

I am struggling to find how to enter eg server details (which I do know) - the only options I can find on the phone are for my email address and password.

Any help gratefully received!

Louise

Re: Nokia c3-01 - setting up email for IMAP

Hi again,

I have now discovered that the issue is the type of address I am using.  The phone thinks it knows the mail server address and automatically defaults to the wrong place, hence why it isn't checking my email.  The only way I can get in to manually provide these details is if I incorrectly enter the 2nd half of my email address in the first place - the phone then asks me to provide the details manually, and it works!  Only problem with that solution is that I am then totally unable to alter my email address (it keeps the wrong spelling!).

Does anyone know how to access the mail settings so I can configure them all manually from the beginning.  I feel like I'm going all round the houses here.

Many thanks!
