Hi wehbi1988,

 

Welcome to the forum! When typing a text message, please go to Options (3 lines) > Insert emoticon > Choose the emoticon. This only works when you use the virtual keyboard. So if you write with the physical keyboard, you need to close it first to add emoticon.

This is an excellent example of the User Experience development level achieved by Nokia. In Anna, the Emoticons were simply available, no matter if the user preferred physical of virtual keyboard. Now they are hidden in a very ingenious way.
