I am a little upset, all my family own Apple iphone 5, and they are really giving me a hard time over my phone, and I mean a hard time, am so over it, went to a xmas party last week and it should have been a iphone 5 party, they all had their phones out and playing with them, I was so the odd one out and they couldn't understand why I bought this phone, they all said it was a dud , what is happening here, why is everyone against this phone, are apple users afraid it must just be better than there iphone, .Whirlpool forum is full of criticism of the nokia 920. ,with supposedly hassles they are having with the 920. I haven't had one hassle with mine, battery life was poor in beginning, but is great now. That's the only thing that was a bit hard to cope with in the beginning , but then I also couldn't stop fiddling with it either's can someone please back me up as to why I bought this phone, its a great phone and I love mine, somebody please say something good about this phone , I know this a forum is for troubleshooting and the good people in here will help the best they can, but am so over the negativity that seems to be everywhere. HELP

You should follow the saying ..
"An elephant never reacts when dogs bark.."

Welcome to the modern world ![]()
Apple has dominated the phone market since touch screens became the mainstream. I remember when blackberry experienced a massive increase in teenage users and it spread like wildfire because people want what everyone else has. If they don't have it and everyone else does, there will be a certain level of envy regardless of the capabilities of the phone itself.
iPhone 5, is the "cool" phone at the minute. I applaud you for not conforming to that. I myself also chose the lumia 920 over the iPhone for my recent upgrade from my old blackberry curve. In my personal opinion, it's a superior phone, I can tell you that first hand. My sister picked up an iPhone 5 at the same time I got my Nokia and after about a week of interacting with each of our phones I have come to more and more discoveries regarding it's capabilities and quality. The iPhone on the other hand looses its momentum arguably after the obsession with Siri and other non-essential elements fades away. Sure, it's a nice phone but I have had little to no complaints about my Lumia 920 so far. Besides small system glitches that occasionally occur, the operating system feels flawless. Download speeds are fabulous, the physical phone is sturdy and can withstand the regrettable drop I've occasionally subjected it to, and the touchscreen is seamless.
Don't let your friends/family get you down, you have an awesome phone. Enjoy it ![]()

Correction. The iPhone is no longer the cool phone. It is now the has been. For anyone in the know, the lumia wp8 devices are the current cool phones, replacing the SGS3 which in turn replaced the iphone a very long time ago now. I.m sorry to say you hanging around with a bunch of has beens. ![]()

MAY be iPhone is 'cool' phone as Nokia Lumia 920 is the 'HOT and Happening' phone ...

You're right, everyone and his or her mother has an iPhone. I had an iPhone, but the 3.5 inch screen was too puny. The iPhone 5 is alright, but it was just not appealing enough to upgrade. And I am not the only one that feels that way. It has been reported that Apple is selling more iPhone 4S right now than the 5.
I have the cyan 920. And it turns heads. When people see the live tile text notification of each of my friends and see when I use the Nokia lens, they are surprised. Nokia has not done a good job marketing the cool features of its phone. But considering it is selling out everywhere, it does not have to. But an ad that points out the bells and whistles would help restore some of the brand appeal.

THANK YOU , this is all so refreshing to read, and some comments made me laugh especially about the 'has beens', you are all so right. I agree Nokia haven't advertised this phone enough,a lot of people havent even heard of the 920, my son has finally admitted that this phone is good but of course not as good as the iphone 5, of course not !!. Mind you he plays with my 920 every chance he gets. Its rather humorous. Thank you everyone for posting, makes me feel a whole lot better , I think this 920 is taking the world by storm , and iphone users just have to deal with it.

iPhone users are unfortunately in denial and will wake up one morning to discover they have been left way behind. ![]()
