cannot disable autolock with M4E account on N8...h...

cannot disable autolock with M4E account on N8...helpp!!!

After activating M4E autolock is now enable without the ability to overide. So now the phone aotolocks every 5mins.

 

tried everything as per other threads and no joy. It is my own mail server for my business so it should be my choice if I want auto lock...not the M4E protocols

 

do not want to have to hard reset the phone. does anybody have a solution....

 

PLEASE!!!!!

yes, autolock is evil : I ended-up Removing Mail-for-exchange ; you simply Can't type a five-digit code every time you want to use Maps or take a photo! - I am going to find a less-annoying email client ; perhaps Profimail.

It's a condition imposed by Microsoft, phones which sync to Exchange servers using ActiveSync must autolock.

 

Maybe your sysadmin allows access to the Exchange server via IMAP? The only problem is that IMAP connections on the N8 is unreliable unless you accept the Nokia Messaging terms and conditions which your sysadmin might not agree with it hands your password over to Nokia and stores it on their servers.

 

Or as said above there's ProfiMail.
