I have just signed up for nokia mail which is working perfectly on my computer.  I apparently set up the nokia mail account on my lumia 610 and have managed to send and receive emails with the phone but keep getting asked  for 'update your account information for smtp.nokiamail.com:465:1" Usually it just needs the password; save gets me back into operation but soon the error message re-appears.  I have switched off "outgoing messages need authentication" in settings without effect

Hi oldgpa,

Try to setup your Nokia Mail by going to Settings > Email+accounts > Add an account > Other accout > Enter your email address and password. The phone will automatically get the right settings.

many thanks. since the nokia mail was already there I didn't think of trying 'other accounts'
