I purchased a Booklet 3G from Nokia USA about a month ago, but didn't like it so I sold it on eBay to someone in Panama who uses the Movistar network. Before I listed it I called Nokia USA to ask if the ones they sell are unlocked, and they said yes. So the Booklet sells, and then I get an email from the buyer saying that it's SIM locked.
I found a thread on this forum where someone said to call AT&T and they'll give you an executable (.exe) file and a SIM code and it'll unlock the 3G card in the Booklet. I just got off the phone with AT&T and I gave them the IMEI but they couldn't find anything for it.
The buyer even took the Booklet to a Movistar location and they told him that it was locked and he needs to contact the 'supplier'.
What do I do? I don't want the computer back but I also don't wan to burn this guy. Can anyone please advise?
Thank you.

If you want it unlocked, there is a tool here that'll unlock it. Costs around $15 US they take paypal but only from a confirmed account since they are not in the US.

Have you used this and successfully gotten it unlocked? Just curious, because I wasn't able to find any Booklet 3G-specific info or feedback that proved they could unlock it, so I'd be curious to know, as I'm sure others would be, too.

It worked great, was scared at first because after the dc-unlocker showed the SIM status as unlocked, I rebooted and the card wasn't seen. I rebooted again and all was well and I tested it with a T-Mobile SIM card just to make sure.
My 3g modem is the GlobeTrotter MO40x GTM382
