partitions

so i have windows 7 home premium  installed and i want to have another partition for jolicloud or for some other type of light weight linux distro, but the problem is that whatever linux distro that i have, it never sees it as 2 partitions but only one "free space" partition. I used to be able to see the different partitions but now its getting kind of annoying only using a usb key to use jolicloud when i can just put 4 gigs aside for it and only use it for when i jsut have some small web stuff to do. please help

Re: partitions

Have you tried formatting the "free space" partition and reinstalling Linux on their through a boot up disc?

Re: partitions

Hello,

You might be having the problem for having your disk as Basic.

Examply, some image recovery programs dont work when the disk is Dynamic.

So I highly recommend you to check the disc type and compare to the operating system requirements you want to install.

Finally reconfigure the type of the disk according to the requirement of the OS.
