Hey everyone,

I am encountering some trouble when usign mix radio in offline mode. More precisely I have a Mix downloaded to the device. After each song, music pauses and I have to resume manually. I do not know if disabling the mobile internet connection does help, but when at home on WiFi, the problem does not occur. I.e. I have the impression that offline mix radio with mobile internet enabled has open issues. Any hints on how to resolve this?

I have exactly the same problem, with offline and online mix radio, but also not just after each song in middle of the songs too!

My phone is a Nokia Lumia 820 from the UK, and the strange thing is my old Lumia 800 works perfectly!

So its either something weird with the 820 or its Windows 8?

Any ideas???????

Hi fresnel,

sounds like the behaviour exhibited by Windows Phone 8 handsets where WiFi shuts off when the phone is locked, this will be fixed in the upcoming Portico update, which has been stated by Nokia to arrive sometime in February this year.

Well thanks for the reply, but no that's not it, firstly it happens in off-line mix radio mode i.e. no data connection needed, secondly it happens even when the phone is awake and connected and thirdly it also happens when I have a strong 3G signal.

And as I also said earlier my Lumia 800 has no problems and that also doesn't have keep alive wifi.

you can escalate the issue and report it directly to Nokia by clicking the Nokia Support link at the bottom of this page.

Nokia support couldn't help either, they suggested a hard reset and a re-install of Nokia music, made no difference.

I have also just installed the Portico update.....no difference!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! argh!

Hi, 

I have exactly the same problem with my Lumia 800. The mix, which was made offline, pauses after each track. No WiFi Connection or 3G enabled (but should not be necessary, right?)

there is a new update for Nokia Music, I think its fixed...so far so good, crossing my fingers!

Give it a try and let me know if it works for you.

thanks for your message. I tried it once after I read your message and it worked. But then I plug in a stereo jack to listen to the music via external boxes, it pauses again after each song. However, I recognized that some other people have the same problem. I read some comments in the marketplace, referring to pausing after each song. 

In addition, sometimes I have to start mix radio twice because it stop at the loading page after starting. I have to press the back button and start mix radio again in order to get it work.

I am not sure if the problem occurs only with a stereo jack plugged in or not. I can try, but I would like the program to work whether I plug in something or not.

my lumia 800 does this on mixed radio on wifi and 3g. i have wp7.8. it does it with stereo jack plugged in as well as with bluetooth connected speaker. i also have the problem where the mix doesn't load and i have to restart the mix.

it just occured to me. are you running this through Zune - Applications - Nokia Music? or running it straight from Nokia Music? When i run it straight from Nokia Music and not through Zune, it doesn't pause after each song.
