The message "standard quality" flashes briefly when a new song plays on Nokia Music. This suggests that there may be some higher quality available, but I can find no evidence of it. Any ideas?

You're asking in a place which you should be aware is a user to user support forum. Basically shooting down a fellow user trying to offer you a suggestion does not help anyone and could be considered rude at least.
If you want answers from Nokia you should talk to them through the contact us link on this page or keep yourself informed through the many information channels Nokia offers such as conversations.
