The current system makes people work for their rank by making quality posts. Generally people who are not worthy get rated down by other users.

Thanks for the rating feedback and encouragement. I was feeling remorse as Nokia does not give enough weightage to content of the post but rather on the posts and ranking by other users. As you rightly said the dubious ones will or would have resorted to trickery of multiple IDs and markup the ratings which is quite deplorable.

Exactly. Ratings should be earned not fiddled.

cjlim, your rating is good it's 4.2.

You can see your rating by clicking on "view my public profile" on the men on the right and hover your mouse over the green rating dots to see the exact rating.

Even someone with a 5.0 rating would still have to wait until 1500 posts to hit guru status.

babdi, what I should do but don't is to copy all Psycho's replies, change at least 10% (to get around copyright issues)which usually only involves correcting his typos and add a few "please"'s and Thank you"'s and Presto I have a very good reply..

My latest version of Mozilla Firefox has a built-in spell check facility which works on most types of form entry, though as far as I have been able to work out it only seems to work in the language of the install (in my case French - whenever I post in English forums it tells me everything is wrong!)

The is a new browser called Flock. It uses the Firefox engine and so has all the Firefox features but with a few more.

How can you tell who gave you what ratings?
