Re: 710 battery life?

Can't be answered, there's so much more factors involved like ambiebt temperature, signal strenght, distance to towers etc,,

Re: 710 battery life?

I have a Lumia 710 and so far, it has an 'ok' battery life. It's neither impressive nor it's bad.

For a day, I had never call for 3 hours. But at an hour. it usually depletes from 100% to 82 - 86%.
30 minutes of listening to music would depletes the battery from full charge to 97%, with headset plugged on the phone.
Playing games for 30 minutes may vary. If you play it on a heavy game, it would easily depletes to around 90% from a full charge.
Browsing is something I used a lot, 30 minutes on browsing can depletes the battery from a full charge to 94 - 95%, I am sure.

I had never send a lot of SMS in a day. Sending 10 messages would only take 2% from the battery but not sure on sending 75 messages.

All these results (Based on my experience for 6 months) are at the full signals.

With such use from what you said, I would have to charge my phone every night. It's best to buy a power banker for your phone though.

The Lumia 510 has much slower processor so I would expect it to pass the day even with such uses. I have neither the 510 nor the 610, so I am not too sure about it.

Re: 710 battery life?

then, in that case - i may have to look an alternative to Lumia 710.

probably Samsung Galaxy S Duos will do good. becoz it has better battery, much better SAR value and gives more talk time thatn Lumia 710.

another alternative wud be is HTC Desire X.

thanks for your reply, Mr.Professor

The Galaxy S Duos does have a slightly bigger battery but it also has a bigger screen. It's CPU and GPU aren't as powerful as the 710's but has slightly more RAM. Also, the Sammy runs on Android. So, if we put all these factors together it's almost impossible to speculate on whether the Sammy will last any longer on a single charge compared to the Lumia.

Given the amount of use you detailed in your first post, I wouldn't expect any smartphone to last for more than a day.
