AOL

Was able to easily set up AOL account but having difficulty loading older mail. As long as I limit to nothing older than 1 month it's fine, but if I select "any" time, it will not synch; that is to say, it tries, but fails. Maybe it's timing out as the folders are quite large. Any thoughts? I also see that both a "sent" folder and a "sent items" folder can be seen, but I believe only 1 actually holds sent items. I know from Profimail on other Nokia devices that both cannot exist without causing problems, but even if I limit the synch function to one of these folders, I cannot go back beyond one month.

There really should be more account and configuration options for all email applications. I realize the intent is to make it easy, but in comparison to E7, the choices are extremely limited (I understand that's possibly more a function of the way the application is designed than the phone itself, but I mention it because I find that in general, the "settings" button in any application on the 920 seems to call up substantially fewer choices than any similar app on the E7, or other Nokia models).

I'm not really trying to compare these two phones; they are very different and serve different purposes. But for the same app, I feel they should offer similar choices/settings.

Re: AOL

Sorry to hear the problems you are having. Perhaps it is a matter of how many emails you have in your inbox and the decision by the phone to either download them all or not.
