My phone had to go back to Nokia after the Portico update. Somehow, post update, my phone lost the ability to do landscape mode with pictures.  Should I expect to wait a very long time? Its moving onto 2 weeks so far.

You should contact whoever you arranged the repair with as times vary greatly between countries. For example my Lumia 920 died late last week, tomorrow it is being collected and replaced with another one which is impressively fast.

I have just taken my phone to Nokia Care and they told me that the average time it takes is a week. So maybe you should give them a call.

As mentioned above it varies,id mine sent in and returned in 3 days.The problem with device will be also a factor to include.
