Hi all,
Thanks for the feedback.
If you are taking your 'average' usage off of the indication in Settings>Battery saver please be aware this value is indicative and will be reset after the udpate. As time goes by this value will become more accurate depending on your usage.

I'm facing the same issue, after the upgrade, my battery life is around 40% less than before the update.... anyone knows the way to downgrade the firmware ?

Hi, the same story for me. I was able to use my phone from the morning of first day till the evening of the second day (~36h). After update (1600.2487.8107.1207) battery life is 24 hours or less. How to return to previous firmware version?

Same problem here. My battery runs out so fast after the update. I'm charging my mobile atleast 10 times a day now.

Hi,
I'm on that same update version, and I find that my phone can now last 2 days without needing charging (with moderate use)

I'm going to have to weigh in here and say that mine is identical, horrendous battery drain after the latest update, used to last a day and half after one of the older updates, now its more like 16 hours at most.

Just bought Lumia 800. Don't know how it worked on previous versions, because I installed updates just from the box. But I need to recharge it every 12-15 hours, plus it's charching very slow from 30 to 60% takes 2 hours.
I thought that it's popular problem lumia battery bug and I need to install some fix, but I already have the latest version of firmware - 1750.0805.8773.12220
Anyone can help with this problem?

As long as we keep bringing this to the top, and more people see it and add their comments we can get Nokia to take this problem seriously! Coincidentally, how many of you experiencing the battery drain also have whatsapp installed?

1 day 16 hours?? lucky you! lol! Mine will go maybe 16 hours at most with moderate use, 24 if i don;t use it all! it drains at roughly 3-5% an hour in standby mode.

Guys, after full charge my battery shows 1 days and 16 hours left, is it OK or no? Because on some youtube review I saw that people using it more than 2 days with Wi-Fi, mail push, navigation and music?
What is your experience before this update?
1 day 16 hours is correct.. BUT... this will only last for 1 -2 days... after that my full charge became 1day 8 hours.. then the next day, my full charge is at 15 hours.. today it's at 17 hours after full charge... the new FW update 1750.0805.8773.12220 is seriously bugged..

I bought a new Nokia Lumia 800 couple of weeks back.
I updated my firmware with Zune and the current version is 1750.0805.8773.12220
And the Tiles that I use are for my office mail, gmail and hotmail.
The battery drains out in just half a day after full charge almost everyday.
It's very annoying considering the number of times I need to keep the phone charged.
I am not an active gamer or someone who plays with apps.
So, I wonder what is eating up so much of the battery.
I am a very stong and loyal customer of Nokia and all along all my Nokia phones have given me very good battery life. Ofcourse I undertand that Lumia 800 is a Windows phone and smartphone but for my usage I believe less than one day's battery life is not acceptable.
Are there some other updates that I can install

Try bringing your phone to your local Nokia Care Center for hands-on troubleshooting.

Hi,
I had the same problem, and after the changes below my lumia 800 lasts 24-48 hours with one charge.
1) Email: ensure that your mails are checked every 15 or 30 minutes, and not "as they arrive". You can configure this in mail (hotmail, ...) -> parameters -> synchronization parameters
2) Check what applications can use data in the background. Ideally, you can disallow this for all of them. Go to Parameters -> (right scroll) -> background tasks
