Hello

I tried to search for the 2 functions as mentioned above but fail to do so. There seems like no such function in Lumia phone.

Also searched at Nokia market and Nokia Apps, but found nothing.

why Nokia don't support these function already??

Coz I'm using Nokia 6700 classic and  found all these function, I'm tend to switch to Smartphone now but why Lumia don't have??

Any suggestion??

Though no such feature in the phone.. Didn't you find any 3rd Party application as seen here and here ?

Happen to know if any of those (pref a simple one) run in the background? I downloaded one called simply 'timer' but it stops if you go back to the home screen

There is no 'Countdown' timer in it..but the Intulon Stopwatch application that I have runs in the background ...

I really just want a countdown timer with audible alarm (for pizza etc) that will run in the background. I don't need any stopwatch functions.

'Super Timer' application details say it can run in background .. Try that ..

Not available in my region as a free app and I'm not prepared to pay for such a common and dare I say it, obligitory phone function. I also have no SD card installed currently so can't download it from the web to my PC and install that way.

Oh! Sad to know that ... BTW, just search for 'Countdown Timer' at the MarketPlace and you will see a lot of applications in this regard..You may read the Details of them or if free then try out. If not as per your requirement, un-install ..
