Is the equaliser usable not degrading the sound with aliasing effects?

I also wanted to know if the headset controls are working in the new model.

Neither the equalizer settings nor the Dolby Headphone enhancements degrade the sound quality as I have tested these settings combinations with both default lumia 920 headsets and my Nokia monsters purity headphones with lumia 920. Regarding headsets control, yes the controls on default headsets do work but other headsets' control might not work with lumia 920 as pin configuration might be not compatible with Nokia.

The default headset that comes with the 920 doesn't have music player controls, just a button for answering calls and pausing the music playback.
I've tested other headsets from older Nokia phones that do have music player controls but none of them worked on the 920. Music played through them OK but the controls had no effect.

It's the nokia purity in-ear headset I have and would be using on the 920 if I get it.

Is the equalizer fully functional with bluetooth headsets or is just wired headsets/headphones?
I have finally totaly dropped wired headsets actually.
Using Nokia BH-610 primarly now with Nokia Belle phones and soon as also the Nokia Purity Pro Wireless BH-940.
Well, is the equalizer working with bluetooth headsets 100% or not.

The dolby will only work when wired headset attached, however I use my Essence and the sound is great, all the controls work perfectly and they connect via nfc without issue, also used my old Sony wired headset which works great, but has no controls, so use on screen.

Well, Dolby Sound is working great on Nokia 701 with Essence headset from Nokia.

Thanks for a clear answer. ![]()

Equalizer is 100% NOT working with bluetooth headsets, only with wired.

Apparrently you don't get a head set included in the box when buying a 920 in the USA. I've got ne idea why though.

I only got very basic wired headset with mine, but always prefer to use my own anyway and don't know anyone who doesn't have at least a couple of sets. Music pretty good overall on the 920 for me so far. Just scanned my computer to get more accurate mixes on Nokia Mix Radio, pretty cool ![]()
