Up until Sunday the 12th of August 2012 I have been able to install and update my apps with no fuss. When I tried to install an app on Sunday I got an the error code mentioned above whether through wifi or 3g (for both wifi and 3g my carrier is CELL C)  I get the same error message. I have tried to restore my phone software to previous software prior to recent update and even there I get an error code 801812E0. I also tried resetting my phone to factory settings through the phone and this didn't help.

I'm now stuck and I posted the same message on here http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/winphone/forum/wp7-wpapps/error-code-805a0193-when-updating-apps-... I have not received an answer.

The solutions posted on the site for a similar error relate to a DNS issue with wifi since I am using a cellc 3g card connected to a Sitecom wl-326 router and my Carrier is Cell C for my Lumia 800 i suspect it is an issue with Cell C our the current OS update.

I'm experiencing the same problem on my Lumia 800 (as well as my girlfriend on her Lumia 710). I've tried it and it works but something still needs to be done about the problem itself.

I doubt there is anything Nokia can do about this sadly....

I'm experiencing the same issue, how do you resolve this without WiFi?

How come Nokia don't have a fix in their software updates that you must download?

Hi,

An update from my side. It would seem that whatever the problem was, was fixed last night (24/08). I am able to download apps from the Marketplace on my data connection (Cell C, South Africa) and Wifi (Openweb, South Africa). Also, for the Wifi it is without having to using the Google DNS settings but local ones.

Good news after being out of action for two weeks!

I have a Lumia 920 and I love it. But it tries my temper.

after having to wait for Spotify for more than two months it arrives. I find it after my upgrade of latest software yesterday.

I try to download but I get error code 805a0193. I can actually almost feel Spotify but still, cracks down... Tried restarting phone, tried downloading other apps, same problem. Error code 805a0193.

what to do?

bought a 920 yesterday, downloading apps till about 8am this morning then same error code 805a0193 starts coming up

must be a problem with the app store?

Oh, feel bad for you. You haven't even had it long enough to love the camera, the speed, the option of not having to surf mobile sites, and all other lovely feats.

Most probably it is an issue with MarketPlace.. You may try again after a couple of hours or try thru' 3G (...as reported by some the error goes away when trying download thru' 3G than thru' WiFi)

Exactly the same here. Got my new 920 yesterday and downloads from the Marketplace were working, but today I get error 805a0193. Changing DNS in my router does not fix it.

I've tried through wifi and 3g, same error both times, got the phone through the three network.

I'll give it a try in a couple of hours, hope its fixed soon though!

Annoying. Just uninstalled Nokia Drive in order to update the maps (which is annoying itself, since you need to uninstall the entire app in order to get map data refreshed..), now i cannot reinstall it. So, no GPS, printing a map on paper to guide me... 

How did we survive before?
