Hi swirls,
Thank you for your post. You can try those video call apps, they should allow video calls on Windows Phone: Skype or Tango. Those apps enable free video calls over 3G, 4G, and Wi-Fi between Windows Phone, Android and iOS phones and tablets, and PCs.
If you want to video call through your operator than only the Nokia Lumia 900 has a front facing camera and this fonction is to be activated by your operator.
Hope this helps, let us know how you get on,

Hi swirls,
If you call or receive call from Skype, the only thing that you need to check with your operator is that you have a good Data plan, because it will consume internet data.

One more question, can I use Skype or Tango without using WiFi? I mean by using data connection of operator?

Hi swirls,
When you buy a 3G phone (Nokia Lumia 800) and you put a SIM card from an operator which supports 3G, the telephone will draw internet Data using 3G whenever it is available and if you have Internet connection switched on on the device. A 3G network provides for download speeds of 14.4 megabits per second and upload speeds of 5.8 megabits per second. 3G is just the speed of your internet, hope I didn't confuse you more....
Yes, can use Skype or Tango using either Wifi or Data connection (3G).

how can i make a video call without any app like skype or tango...

This does not look very correct to me, although I do not know about it...
I got to read this posts because I had until 3 weeks ago a Nokia N9 with which I was doing Video Calls to my other 3 family members, I just purchased 4 Lumia 920 but... We do not even get an option from the phone as such, which would allow to start a video-call instead of the normal phone call.... I am a bit **bleep** with this marriage between Nokia and Microsoft, many functionalities have been lost and both drop the ball to the otherone when you go to search and read for "how-To" in their pages... For example, where is the old good NOKIA KNOW-HOW in User friendly functionalities which Windows does not have? All is lost because they do not provide their good old SW as extra applications on top of W8...

Windowsphone is so different to Symbian or Meego that old Nokia softwares just dont work. Even Nokia Maps had to be rewritten from scratch to work on WP. The WP way of video calling is using Skype. As Skype now belongs to Microsoft and with the next update, should be embeded into the os. This means Skype can be left running in the background all the time without necessarily draining resources and battery.

Hello,
My first post here. .
With a recent price-drop (thanks to WP8), I bought a Lumia 900 for my girlfriend. She really wants video calling, and while, my phone is capable of it, it doesn't have the comfort of skype, so we have no choice but to use 3G+ video calling through the operator, which should be fine with my subscription, except, her Lumia doesn't seem to work with this variety of video calling. .
I can use my phone to video call other phones, but not a Windows Phone. Our operator's Customer Service agents aren't exactly familiar with Windows Phone, so they seem clueless. I can't resort to Skype-to-operator type of calling, because then I'd have to pay for Skype Credits AND her 3G. .
In a nutshell, I need help with video calling without using Skype or Tango. . Help?
Model: Nokia Lumia 900
OS Version: WP 7.5
Issue: 3G+ Video Calls (without using Skype/Tango/etc)
