Hearing aid compatibility?

I have decided to upgrade from my 5800 ExpressMusic and I want a phone that allows me to use it without removing one of my hearing aids

Some of the newer smart phones have T3 or T4 telecoil compatibility but I cannot find the rating for three Win8 model (929, 820 and 620). Does anybody know compatibity ratings of the latest Nokia phones?

Re: Hearing aid compatibility?

Thanks for the reply. Interesting link, unfortunately "Devices with HAC ratings are available only in the United States", I'm in the UK.

I can't imagine Nokia making totally different phones for the US but I may be wrong.

It's just past 11:00 at night where I am so have a happy New Year.

In this advertisement Lumia 920 is quoted as having HAC rating of M3, T3:http://www.atlantic-usa.com/phones_view.php?phone_id=1542&PHPSESSID=530e8611023e840491a7ee0e813fec15

Re: Hearing aid compatibility?

Thanks for the replies guys.

When I said that I was in the UK a link to a site in the USA didn't really help

BT neckloops have been out quite a while now. As there are phones with telecoil facility built in I thought it nice to have one less item to worry about.

Perhaps an email direct to Nokia UK will get a definitive answer.

Living in Europe forget Nokia!

Nokia sells no hearing aid compatible mobiles because we have no laws to force HAC mobiles!

Beside simple mobiles like Doro only Apple iPhone 5 and Blackberrys can be used with hearing aids telecoils!

Re: Hearing aid compatibility?

WRONG! :smileylol:

Nokia offers in e.g. Germany or Austria no  "HAC mobiles"!

The Nokia support in Germany do not even know what really means HAC :whistling:

Check the German Nokia homepage and then we'll talk...
