How do I add a pause and password to my voicemail number?

How do I add a pause and password to the voicemail number on a Lumia 822 (Verizon Wireless)?  I tried adding commas and the password "*86,,12345" from the phone settings menu but I get the following error: "We're having trouble saving your voicemail number right now. Try again later". I have tried several times but get the same error.

Since voice mailbox is network provider service best thing to do is to contact them for further assistance.
