Not actually very important but still quite annoying feature is the list of recently viewed TV programs. Is there a way to manually clear this list or even disabling the whole feature? Rebooting the smartphone does not seem to work.

A reboot wont clear anything. You could always try uninstalling and reinstalling Nokia TV.

OK, thanks. Of course this will work, but I think that instead of a feasible solution, this uninstall / reinstall procedure is quite a cumbersome workaround. But OK, while waiting for improvements to software features, we can settle with this.
