I'm not sure if it has been covered before but...
When not using my phone it just disconnects from any wifi I am on.
I would like to see that it always stays connected to wifi (eg at home) when possible, just like a PC or my Lumia 800 do.
Is this a hidden setting somewhere? Or is it a bug?

Unless connected to charger Windows Phone 8 doesn't currently support continuous WiFi connectivity, that is if your phone is locked then WiFi connection would automatically get disconnected but after unlocking Lumia 920 it would try to connect to WiFi again.
Please note the word currently as not speculating about "Portico" implementation.

I have the same problem and happens when you try and download an update for the maps app. the phone won't allow you to proceed because it doesn't recognise that the wifi connection is there. This is the error message I get:
"Maps are too big to download over a mobile network. Connect to a WiFi network, then come back and try again."
Anyone get the same problem?
