I just bought this sd card and it doesn't seem to be reckognized by my phone.i'm certain this card works because it does work in both my laptop and a seperate usb reader. What is wrong with the lumia? 

(the reader in the lumia also works because it does reckognize a old sandisk 4gb card.

There have been quite a number of posts on this matter on the forums here. For now, there is not much that can be done, until a supposed update for the phone is issued.

ok... and which sdcard do you have? the 64gb sdxc class 6 or class 10?. I'm contemplating getting that one since getting a sandisk ultra 32 gb  is getting so expensive that it might be worth getting the 64gb version.

Hi Flikp,

Compatibility is rather hit and miss as has been reported by several users here. However, i would go with a reputable brand such as SanDisk and also ensure that it is genuine, i.e. check the item numer as stated on the product page here: http://www.sandisk.com.au/products/memory-cards/microsd/ultra-class10-with-adapter/?capacity=64GB


Other than that, there are rumours of a fix being applied by Microsoft that should be coming in the near future. Either that, or it is already present in the Windows Phone 8 updated that was pushed earlier today: http://www.wpcentral.com/first-ota-update-windows-phone-8-os-now-live-htc-8x

it might be me... but isn't it rather naive to think a fix for a sdcard problem is being pushed to a device that has no sdcard support.

also, i'm not sure what microsoft has to do with a hardware detection issue.

i'm just wondering about the 64gb... if that works i rather go with that than have to guess which sdcard will work.
