Hi, I have just got a Lumia 610, is it possible to have it vibrate only with a text message? I only seem to be able to set it with a tone or nothing. My research and looking round the settings suggests not.

It would have also been nice to be able to set it to vibrate only for a call as well but that seems to be lacking too.

You can very well set it to vibrate only [it applies for call and sms too].

1. Lock the phone.

2. Click Volume up or down key once [while the lock screen is visible].

3. It opens volumne, music player controls menu at the top of the screen.

4. In the top right corner, you can see a bell icon prefixed by 'ring+vibrate' .

5. Click it once to change to 'vibrate' only mode. Clicking again will get back to 'ring+vibrate'.

Hi, many thanks for replying, this gets me there but at the expense of no ringer for calls.

So in an ideal world I would have it set to vibrate on text and a ringer + vibrate for calls. Its just that when I'm at work or in a meeting texts are usually personal so like to keep them more subtle!

The 610 is a super little phone especially at the price I paid even if it does lack some of the basics. I wonder if there's an App I can download that will let me achieve this.....
