Lumia 710 and 800 audio streaming to my car radio

I have both Lumia 710 and 800, they connect fine via bluetooth when using the call/telephone funtion, but i can't seem to get the media fundtion to connect, well not with any consistency. Every 1 in 100 time the adio will connect via bluetooth and work finebut what i did to get this working I don't know and can't seem to replecate.

I've got a Citroen DS3 12 plate, has anyone had a similar issue/resolution?
