Hi,
My lumia 800 froze again.
On it's exact 2th month I brought my phone to Nokia Care for screen freeze issue, got it back after a week 20th July. I ask the one who handed me as to what fix they have applied, she said they have bring it to head office and changed its motherboard?..For 2 weeks it worked fine as brand new so my frustration was bit lifted.
Saturday last week 5th of August I updated my phone to:
OS version: 7.10.8773.98
Firmware: 1750.0805.8773.12220
For a week it worked fine, just today it freezes again. I was listening to MP3 music with headset on while reading mails then a FB message push notification appears so I go over it by tapping on the notification. It directed me to messaging app read the message and replied. I stayed on the app waiting for the reply then BOOM!!..screen freeze.
Before the screen freeze I set my Wifi on gone to Marketplace and download the app updates and been switching between apps.
Before update to 8773 I was on 8107 OS version. With 8107 I am doing above routine with no problem or screen freeze.
Additional details on my phone:
Hardware revision # : 112.1402.2.4
Radio software ver. : 1.7.50.08
Radio hardware ver. : 8225
Bootloader version : 7.41.0.0

Dear Nokia Representative,
I'm also interested on whether the freezing Lumia 800 already has a permanent solution since the first inquiry in this message thread was last August, if i am not mistaken.
I got my phone last month. I was just listening to music using Zune when my phone froze. I held the power button off until it turned off (based on the suggestion I saw online) then I turned it on again. I played music again then it froze again all within one minute.
I think that this might no longer be an isolated case because I've found several sites in Google with the same concern and most recommended just doing what i did or re-booting the phone.
I hope Nokia can help us out here.
Thank you.

Hi there folks,
Lumia 800: WP7.5: OS Version: 7.108773.98 Firmware: 1750.0805.8773.12220 hardware: 112.1402.2.4
Bootloader: 7.41.0.0 CHIP SOC 0.74.2.1
I'm in Australia and had been using the media player last Saturday (Dec 1st 2012) on my Lumia 800 when it froze as well.
I was trying to pause the song when it froze. I tried to power it off, tried hard resetting by holding down the power button for longer than 10 seconds but to no avail. The screen locked with the info about the song, time & date etc.
I tried many times during the day to reset it, but alas nothing happened. I assume the battery died eventually.
When i returned home i plugged it into the usb charger, still nothing. I plugged it into my PC usb port and after an hour or so, it beeped and turned itself on and started charging up.
I havent played the music player before... or since.
Any clues to how to remedy this bug????
Many Thanks.

Raoul_Duke, I can assure you this IS a common problem.
Why doesn't anyone from Nokia reply with a solution here?

Hi all,
I'm also having this issue. Have my lumia for over a year and was hoping with every update, that it fix this issue, however still nothing. Currently running latest v7.8. Come on nokia, this is not deffinetely rare issue. Just google it and will see how many people experience this! It actually seems quite common.

Dear Nokia,
I own a lumia 800 and since your last update my phone (and seemingly the phones of large number of your other customers) has been freezing when music is playing and other tasks such as web browsing or producing a word document are being performed. I do not think that this is a fault with the phones as such, but with the software update which we recently recieved as before this i never had any of these problems. It would be much appreciated if you looked into this problem as i am sure you could add somthing to your next update to solve this problem. Do not ignore this issue and end up losing loyal customers who went out on a limb to buy these phones over other proven and tested platforms.
Regards,
Adam
