Lumia 800 Jpegs not veiwable

I have a Nokia Lumia 800 , when ever I am sent a email that have embedded images I click on download on each of the pictures but they are still not veiwable. Just left with blank boxes and some writing where pictures should be shown. I sometimes use my Nokia E6 and the pictures are veiwable straight away from same sent email.

 

What am I doing wrong or is there a setting that needs to be changed.
