Lumia 800 battery problem

My nokia lumia 800 battery icon and battery saver page show 100% charge always and the phone gets dischraged after usage. There is no low battery warning. Once the battery is completely discharged the phone switches off and if you put in on charge even for a minute the phone shows 100% battery again. The phone has been reset numerous times and has been taken to nokia care as well couple of times. It runs on the latest software. Really **bleep** off with this battery issue.

Re: Lumia 800 battery problem

Sounds like a faulty battery. I suggest you get in touch with your local Nokia Care Center.

Re: Lumia 800 battery problem

I have taken it to nokia care twice but they say its just a software issue and they show me some meter saying battery is fine. But my issue is not reseloved by software resets and i am sick of running around them

Re: Lumia 800 battery problem

This has nothing to do with the software. If it was a software issues, all Lumias sould behave like this.. Return to the Nokia Care Center and demand they investigate further.

Re: Lumia 800 battery problem

Hi,

l have also suffered the same fate although my LUMIA died afew times and managed to revive it with swapping chargers.Today though was another matter. The phone did NOT SWITCH ON OR RESTART! l contacted Nokia Care and was iformed it has to be repaired as they have an "issue" with the battery dying and a replacement and software upgrade is required!

My issue is, if you read the Forums, its evidently clear there is an issue with the phone and maybe NOKIA should recall or contact their customers with the early LUMIA's to address the issue rather than bury their heads in the sand and hope the issue goes away..Shame on you NOKIA as its a nice phone but as a consumer l expect the least to make a phone call if all fails.. this is a joke that now l am without my phone that has invaluable data with someone out there and paying everyday for the line rental.

l was offered a APPLE 4 but gave it to my wife after an upgrade..simply because the NOKIA seemed sensible to keep with the windows and NOKIA SUITE already running on my PC it made sense to keep my faith.

NOKIA, take note, remember SAAB? read their demise..nice car but they failed to read or see beyond the trees...listen to you loyal customers and it pays dividends.. this LUMIA was made in a hurry and has faults.Recognize this issue's early and see what the competition offers..If you own an apple product for example, you are offered a replacement on the spot if under warranty or a known issue (Home Button)

Enough of a rant but believe me, even a die hard fan like me is having second thoughts as someone somewhere is having a laugh at my expense..NOKIA has to take consumers seriously or otherwise they will suffer a decline of sales despite any gimmicks that they try and flog.Think LUMIA 900 is just the updated version without the faults?

Enjoy the read as l navigate with my tried and tested NOKIA N8

Re: Lumia 800 battery problem

Tonight my Nokia 800 just died out of the blue. It was showing full battery and then screen went blank and wouldn't restart on the charger.  I've come onto my laptop and to my dismay I've seen other users have had something similar happen.  After reading some of the tips, I eventually restarted by holding the power and down volume, but showed the battery was at red line on the screen (even though it was at 100% prior to dying).  As soon as it restarted it is showing the battery life at 75% but its been on the charger for 15 minutes and the battery icon has increased it's charge - ie its at 75%.  All seems really weird.  I love this phone, but its my only phone and I'm a little concerned that its not going to restart and that I too am sufferring from the battery issue that it appears a lot of other users are having.  Like some of the other comments, I am a loyal nokia user and was so excited when this phone was coming out and hung on to my old nokia (E5).  My software is up to date.  I wonder if Nokia should be doing a recall as obviosuly there is something wrong with the battery on the 800.  Should I just take it to Telstra or send it to Nokia Care? Is there even a Nokia Care in Australia?

Re: Lumia 800 battery problem

The phone has come back after spending 2 weeks in nokia care. The battery issue is solved but the phone picked up another weird issue for which i have created another thread. Really frustrated with this phone now
