Lumia 800 - cannot pick up incoming calls

Hi, I just got my new Lumia yesterday, have set everything up. However I've had 3 incoming calls, all which come up with answer/reject, then that screen disappears within a second so I've been unable to accept the calls. The screen shown is as if the call has been auto-answered but there is no one on the line.

Help please as the phone isn't much good if I can take calls!?

Issues like this are often caused by certain types of screen protectors. If there's one on your phone remove it and see if it behaves normally without it.

If nothing is blocking the proximity sensor like a protector or case then it's likely to be a hardware issue.
