Lumia 800 hurt my eyes ?

Last week I bought myself a Nokia Lumia 800. I'm very impressed with its features.

 

Unfortunately I get painfull eyes when looking at the screen. It starts after a short period (for example after typing a message) 

 

I played with the brightness settings, tried the auto, low, medium and high setting but that doesn't make any difference.

 

Does anyone know if it could have something to do with the led backlight of the Lumia ? I've read that these leds are flickering to save power.

 

With my previous phone (SE Xperia Mini Pro) I never had this issue. I'm now using my old phone again because It doesn't give me this pain in the eys.

Have you tried the Light back ground? that might help you sight.
