So when I take pictures with the lumia 810's camera the photos are not the full, 8 megapixel resolution. The resolution of the photos on the phone is the same as the resolution of the photos when uploaded to SkyDrive so that part is working. But the actual photo itself is closer to 2 megapixels instead of 8.
Is there any way to fix this so that I'm taking 8 megapixel photos? I've tried the different aspect ratio (4:3 instead of 16:9) and while it helped, the photos were still far too small.

Turns out I posted too soon. ![]()
The photos taken were full 8 megapixel photos. To directly access these you have to plug into a computer. Sharing via email will send a lower resolution version of the photos.
To upload the full 8 megapixel image to SkyDrive you have to change settings in TWO places, the SkyDrive app itself and in Settings>Backup>Photos>Best Quality (needs Wi-Fi).
If you have the backup settings set to "Good Quality" then it will downsize the images to 1280x720 before uploading them.

Hi, and welcome to Nokia Support Discussions
In Microsoft Store you will find an app called Camera Roll Sync which will allow you to sync your images at full resolution.

Why there is no possibilty to go to settings and send photos in full resolution? That's not smart, having to connect your device to your computer to get full resolution and send it from there.

I don't have a very limited data plan and I want to decide, whether I resize or I won't (like in windows, where you'll be asked full resolution or size a or size b). Kosh's solution is double traffic for mailing or to complicated. It's just a step back from wp 7.5.

WP7.x has the same restriction on attached photos in a mail.

Ok, I had a look on old pictures and you're right, but in WP7.x it was 1223 x 1630 and now it's 918 x 1632 pixels.
And my sentence above is stil topical.
