Lumia 820 Phishing virus?

I downloaded a couple of small Apps (One was Yell.com and I deleted the other one) and seem to have picked up some sort of virus, because (almost) every time I tap my BTYahoo mail tab, I get a prompt screen saying "Update your password for ............. and tap Save". The address shown doesn't look genuine and there are no problems signing onto my email account via my pc (I have changed my email password to be on the safe side). How can I get to the bottom of this? What Virus checker/technique can I use? Any suggestions? (Frinfo, if I backspace 2/3 times it takes me out of the prompt screens and into my email account - another reason why I think it's bogus.)

Re: Lumia 820 Phishing virus?

The way the Windowsphone OS is design, it is practically impossible for a virus to automatically retrieve data from other apps, however, like you said, it could phis from you.

If in doubt, I suggest resetting the phone and starting from scratch.

I would delete the Yahoo! account and input it again on the device in Settings>email+accounts. This isn't a virus (not possible), but sometimes the phone just messes up with saved credentials.
