I have a lumia 820 and last night thephone switched off due to no battery left. I left the phone plugged in over night but it now cycles thru the nokia splash screen and a blue screen.... Then off again.

I have taken the battery out several times and no difference... I have tried soft and hard resets and also nothing different.

Has anyone seen this before?

Any other suggestions?

Sounds like return to retailer/provider or Nokia Care facility, whichever now applicable in your circumstances.

Just to clarify, the correct button combination is press and hold Volume down + Power + Camera until phone vibrates then release the power button but keep pressing the other two buttons for five seconds or so and the phone should re-boot normally.

I got a new lumia 820 5 days ago.

Same problem, after the battery was down I charged it over the night. Now it boots with the text "NOKIA" and after I get a blue screen

A hard reset worked for me.

The 3-button reset is a soft reset and doesn't help!

Hard reset is a little bit more complicated (you need to power off, power on, attach the charger and press the right sequence).

After the hard reset, the phone was working again... I hope it will work for a while, and not crash the next time the battery is empty!
