Lumia 822 Blank screen and unresponsive.

I just got a nokia lumia 822 and started using it about 10 days ago.  In the course of that time, my phone has become unresponsive while sitting in my pocket 5 seperate times; I can't turn the phone on or off or use it  until I replace the battery.

I still treat it like a baby since it's so new, so I don't think it's shutting off due to damage or being shocked.

How can I resolve this issue?  Is it common?

Could be due to a multitude of reasons. First thing you should try ruling out is the sim. Try another sim if possible, to see if the problem resolves.

Re: Lumia 822 Blank screen and unresponsive.

Hi Jnick

There are couple of trouble shooting steps that you can do in order to sort out the issue that you are facing with your Lumia 822.

Steps to try:

1) Switch off the handset, then press and hold the power and volume down button for 10 sec. simultaneously until you feel vibrations.

If it won't resolve the issue you can try this one

2) On the phone go to Settings > Phone Update > Check for updates, if there are any updates available you may update your handset. Doing this will improve the performance of your phone.

Still encountering the issue? You may consider doing this one

3) Reset your phone. Resetting your handset will delete all your personal content--including text messages and apps you've downloaded, and the phone will be reset to its factory settings.

Go to Settings > About > Reset your phone.

We recommend that before doing anything create a back-up for all the data that you have on the phone to avoid deletion of your files.

If my post helped you, please don't forget to click on the "White Star" and if it resolved your issue click on "Accept as Solution" :smileywink:
