Lumia 900 doesn't send or receive texts

So I recently got a Lumia 900 from AT&T, cause with my upgrade it was free, and who doesn't like free things? 

 

Anyways, I can make calls and receive calls, and have tested this out numerous times. However when I go to send or receive texts, it shows them as sent, but the other person does not get a text, and vice versa. I'm 100% sure that everyone is texting the correct number, and have tried turning the phone on and off. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem, or if there is anyway to fix it?

Have you the correct message center number?
If you got to the website all the info will be there. Also you could call them to make sure you have been provisioned seems to be a common issue with this network.

I had people texting my old number first, but also had someone try texting the SMS one, and nothing. I'm just confused as to why the number for texting would be different, and why people cannot get my texts.

Check this guide to see if you have the correct settings  at&t

If you have no luck here give them a call.

 

NOTE this is a set up guide the message center number might be different
