Hello to All,

May be will look strange what I am mentioning above, on my topic. But as I lived the experience I do like to put it on the table... As we were at the beach, our telephones were in the bags, and as a bigger than the normal wave wet-up all our things (and us), I tried to do was to dry and save our phones. My Lumia 900, and a Blackberry. For the Blackberry was easy enough, as I could remove the battery, wash with fresh water, dry it and after two days, everything was perfect. Unfortunatelly, my Lumia had to wait with all the sea salt on its circuits, with battery giving power(as it cannot be removed), until the next day, when the Nokia service will be open ..... but it was too late. As the technicians told me, the telephone was "dead" after all these hours. When I told them about the Blackberry, they told me that if the battery of Lumia could be removed, I could saved it as well, using the same method.

I reported this to Nokia support more than a month a go, but unfortunatelly I have not receive any answer.

I really wonder, if it is fair, to prohibt to a customer to be able to "save" (if he can) his phone, because of the design - phone philosophy.

Just and in order not be missunderstood: of course i do not blame Nokia for the sea-wave (I heard that too), but I complain that through out the way of building up/manufacturing this beutyfull specific device, put me in the position not be able to react in an insindence like this.

As i do not have any comment on my thoughts, I do like to send my request to Nokia team, and ask that in order to avoid such accidents they should reconsinder on the phone manufacturing process, and find a "first aid" action, for any "wet accidents" which may occur the whole telephone's functionality ..... what do you think on this?

Believe me, I do not expect Nokia people to be so kind and even comment what i am writting ...... !!!!

Sorry to hear about your accident. 

The reason for having so many different models is so users can choose the one that suits them best. You have plenty of options if you prefer a Lumia with removable battery. There is the 820, 710, etc.

The reason you wont get a reply from Nokia here is not because they are unkind or they don't care abt their customers. The reason is this is a user to user support forum. If you wish to get a response from Nokia you should use the "Nokia support" tab to the bottom right.
