As it's been removed from Market Place and the email I got from them stated it's not supported on wp8...
So I'm curious...
You will be able to continue using it if you have it to your phone however you wont be able to download it again until they re-release it. Never been a fan of Whatsapp myself due to its aggresive use of internet connectivity.
This would have been from back in the Symbian days. Look whos talking. I am using my N8 at the moment. It was practically impossible to stop Whatsapp from connecting to the internet with symbian. Whatever you did, it always found a way. It was like the vermin you could not kill. I prefer an app I could have more control over. They lost me as a user then.
I don't know about bandwidth consumption - what I found really irritating was that every time I opened a message on WhatsApp, it would make my Music app forget my place on the paused track - and I listen to audiobooks. Not good. Hope it gets fixed.
And yes, I can't find it on the Store either.
PS - Just pinned down the app via Nokia App Highlights. Can't download it but reviews suggest there was an update a couple of days ago which was met by massive complains from the users - I wonder if they test their apps before releasing them? And now with rumored Facebook buyout of WhatsApp - they should really get their act together.
i've had it on my 920 for nearly a month, its working as well as it ever did on my 800, so not sure why they pulled it,
