It does appear to have been removed for WP8 devices, possibly due to issues. You should contact whatsapp for more info.

It did have an issue with the toast notification not in sync with actual message. A delay for the message to appear when the app was opened.

Anyway I shall contact them.

I found it under APP HIGHLIGHTS collection > Starter Kit > WhatsApp but it says "This App is not available for your device". This might be because:

1.  your phone software needs to be updated. ---> checked

2.  the app is exclusive to a different mobile provider ---> really???

3.  the app is not available in your country / region ---> seriously!

I love this phone and have been using Whatsapp on an iphone. help!

I'd suggest you talk to WhatsApp about this, little anyone here or at Nokia can do about this. If it's so vital for you to have WhatsApp you might want to research before you splash out the cash on a new phone.
