Lumia 920 and Nokia BH-501 Bluetooth headphones

Can anybody tell me how to change the audio so it comes through the headphones and not the speaker, the Bluetooth phones seems to be recognized but there is no audio through the phones at all.

hi mate,

have you checked that you have installed all the Nokia system app updates that are available via the Store? if you have, also try performing a soft reset (pressing the volume down and power buttons together until the phone vibrates), and also delete and re-pair the BH-501 headphones with your 920 again.

Re: Lumia 920 and Nokia BH-501 Bluetooth headphones

Thanks but I had tried the reset, there were three new updates but none of them seemed to be associated with the bluetooth.   They have been done but no changes the device can be seen on the screen still connects but no audio.

Thanks for the input.

Re: Lumia 920 and Nokia BH-501 Bluetooth headphones

although drastic, your option now is to perform a hard reset (Settings > About > Reset your phone); please bear in mind that this will wipe all your personal data, so make a backup to PC and / or online storage first.

failing that, you will need to take your phone back to your point of purchase, or if they are being less than helpful, to your local Nokia Care for inspection: http://nokia.com/support

Re: Lumia 920 and Nokia BH-501 Bluetooth headphones

I wish it were that simple, we live about 150 kms from where we purchased the phone and 300 kms from Perth in Western Australia so it is a major exercise to do either.   I have also been having problems with the Outlook Connector also, I am unable to get the update working reliably or even consistently When I make an entry in outlook it occasionally transfers through to the phone but very seldom changes made on the calendar on the phone seem to get through OK to Outlook.  Beginning to think I made the wrong decision to upgrade.  For a smart phone it is pretty dumb.
