Hi, I'm having two different issues with my 920 I got at build:
1. Tethering: when activated, other mobile devices can't connect to the internet through its connection - Lumia correctly shows the number of connected devices, but none of them are getting access to the internet (Lumia itself has no problem accessing internet through my cell provider).
2. While 920 usually has no problems connecting to different wifi hotspots, I have a problem with certain netgear router, which 920 can't access at all. Other mobile devices (inlcuding my Lumia 800) connects to this same hotspot without any problems.
Any way to diagnose the above WiFi issues?
Thanks,
Andrej

My guess is your carrier does not support tethering and blocks it. I use 2 carriers and Vodafone Ireland supports tethering while O2 Ireland doesn't. So check with your carrier first.

I m having a similar problem, my Lumia 920 detects the wifi but when i try to connect, it keeps saying incorrect password (ofcourse i have verified the password multiple times). I also have a netgear router. The phone however connects to other wifi networks.

Did anyone get this to work? Have not had a problem with other laptops or Wii's connecting to the wifi. I tried switching the router to just b/g to no avail. Switched it back to b/g/n. It is set for WPA2. It sees the connection, strong signal (brought it right next to the router), but after entering the password and trying to connect it just says connection unsucessfull and asks be to reenter the password.

Different router different issue. What works for one may not work for the other. Try all the different modes. One that I would try is n only. Also check and install router firmware updates. Had one that required a firmware update and another just required setting to n only and wpa2 aes only. This then caused another problem between the router another device. No wonder I have so many routers.

I have At&t uverse and I was getting the incorrect password error before this and this fixed it
Under MAC filtering, try adding your device's mac address to your router's list of mac addresses. Then try to reconnect to the wifi using your device. Make sure you add it to the allowed devices and not blocked devices.
Your device's mac address can be found in the about section under settings. Click on the more info to see the address.

I too am having issues with my 920 and Netgear.
My problem is, it connects fine. No problems connecting at first. Then, after the WiFi times out a couple of times, it will suddenly not let me back on.
Strange thing...this causes my router to not work at all. NONE of my devices, even the one hardwire, can access the internet. I have to power the router off and on, then it will all work...including my 920 for a while.
All night, while its plugged in, it stays connected. No problem.
And setting the router to N only wont work. Because I have other devices that arent N capable. So if thats truely what it needs, Ill return this phone and go back to my Focus which worked perfect with this set up. It'll kill me to return it....but this is a **bleep** fest at best.
Any other suggestions for this issue?
J.

With modem Netgear change the mode to "b and g" in the wifi settings then connect nokia to the modem. Once the phone is connected change the wifi mode to "n" in the wifi settings of the modem Netgear.

My modem/router is set to wifi mode "n" and I have no problems with old devices that don't have wifi "n", they will work up to the speed of wifi "g".

If other devices connect but have no access to internet even though your Lumia has internet, then the most likely reason is your network not supporting tethering. I know O2 in Ireland does not support tethering on certain packages while VF does. So, no harm contacting your network to see if they support tethering on your account.

I also had problems connecting to WPA2 enterprise networks, untill a few days ago. I received a few updates for Nokia apps including Network+ After installing these updates I am now able to connect to WPA2 Enterprise networks.

I have all the same problems, and haven't received an update from Nokia yet (is there another way to do this beside the 'phone update' area of 'settings'?). The odd thing is that if you set your router to NO security, it still can't connect. This has to be phone related as other devices (iOS, OSX, Win8) and WP8 phones are working fine.
Any way to 'force' a firmware update (if there is such a thing that fixes this as 'lionel' mentions above)?
