I have recently upgraded from a 900 to a 920 and want to use the "Transfer my data" app to export contacts from 900 to 920 but it will not work.

I dopn't have an Outlook account on my PC so can't use that method to transfer contacts. I'm a Mac user - Any help out there? thanks.

You can sync all your contacts to your microsoft account & it will automatically show up on the new device when you use the account on your new phone for contacts.

Would have to ask your network carrier for any early contract pay-out fees if you wish to upgrade from a 900 to a 920, if it is indeed available on your network. Also inquire about any additional costs.

If you had purchased the 900 SIM-free, then the world is your oyster as to how to get your dirty little mitts on a 920

Just sign in on the 920 using the same Microsoft Account you use on the 900 and it will sync all contacts, calendars and tasks from your account. If you use other accounts to sync with (gmail for example) just add those to sync as well. There is no need for any other apps or tools..

Thanks Paulheu, that is what I had done and where I had severral contacts linked together not all the details were uploaded, only those from LinkedIn, FB etc.

I spent some time uploading all Lumia 900 contacts to the MS Live account and then downloaded them all again to the Lumia920 so now it is fine.
