This didnt work, 24 hours later I still cant send or receive MMS, called Nokia who were just useless on the phone, called o2 who will email me some instructiobs that I should follow which should help, still havent received the email MMS isnt some cutting edge technology its been around for almost 10 years, how can Microsoft make this so **bleep** hard that manufactureers are having to release dedicated apps to get it to work, it is so stupid

Well it seems I can now receive but still not send, I used Moscow1818s settings, the only thing I changed was APN name: mobile.o2.co.uk. I'm not using the useless diagnostic APN app for anything. Moscow I did try your APN name settings as well but it made no difference, anyting else you can think of that you've done differently?

Hi All

I'm on O2, couldn't send MMS, rang O2, they were scratching their heads, did some googling and found this forum, so I've just dialled ##634# and gone to the APN Settings and under APN Settings, I scrolled to MMS and I added the following details

IAP Name MMS

APN wap.o2.co.uk

Proxy http://mmsc.mms.02.co.uk:8002

Port 193.113.200.195

Username o2wap

Password password

Clicked Save, backed out everything to home screen, sent a test MMS  and it worked, wife sent me an MMS and it came through, so all sorted now

Still can't get the mms working with tesco sim card. Even when entering mms apn settings in the diagnostics menu.

Anyone else out there able to get it working on tesco sim?

Hello Paul (johp778) you dont have the MMSC address in your config and thats a mandatory field also the address you have for Proxy, you do reralize you have 02.co.uk and not o2.co.uk. Is that accurate or just a mistype. Cheers

Can somone explain this solution in more detail? im following this thread and what everyone else has attempted just doesn't exist for me.

I have gone to the diagnostics menu as everyone has suggested here, but there is no option called 'APN Settings' at all!

Of course Nokia tech support were completely useless, blamed Three for the problem.. which interestingly enough Three blamed the problem on Nokia.

Like I said earlier, I still cant send but at least now I can receive. In my case I was using an iphone sim from o2. they said the issue was that I was on an o2 iphone data package and that I should be on a smartphone data package if I intended to use the sim in a non-iphone. After they made that change (takes 24hrs) I could now receive but I still cant send. As far as I know the MMS settings under diagnostics is complete rubbish, dont bother with it, I've tried everything and it either doesnt save your settings or it makes no difference. The one guy on this forum that claims to have used it succesfully (Johp778), the settings he included make no sense, I've asked him to confirm but he hasnt. Currently I can receive and for the moment thats all I care about as I use apps like whatsapp or kik to send pictures anyway, much cheaper than MMS(free). of course i hate that something doesnt work on my phone but in reality i dont use the send MMs function. The Settings on my phone assuming youre on the correct data bolt on are settings-mobile network-edit apn

The Network Setup App is back in the marketplace and it is working, I can now send and receive on my o2 sim. Awesome. Thanks Nokia

Hi All

Sorry I haven't been on the forum, been extremely busy. I originally put those settings in the MMS Diagnostics and it worked, however i've made a mistake when i posted them.

I went to send my wife a MMS the other night and it won't send again, but I stupiddly didn't write down the settings. Now if i try to do it again the same way, it just says Access point not set: IAP Exists, so i'm stuck again, although i can send pics via email to my wife, most of my family and friends don't have email, so i won't be able to send them pics.

Ok, I have just emailed the link below for the network setup app to my phone and when my email eventually downloaded, i clicked the link and installed the network setup app, chose O2 - UK from the 3 choices and once finished, I rebooted my phone and my MMS works again, Yipee!!!

I still have the problem of internet data and MMS being mutually exclusive.

If I set my APN to 3internet (for Three in Ireland) I can use mobile data but not send MMS.

If I delete the APN I can send MMS but can't use mobile data.

The latest Network Setup app does not help.

The APN settings in the Diagnostics app does not help (in fact this seems to make things worse).

On top of this my phone still locks up one in three times that I take it out of flight mode.

Cannot use MMS or Group Text.  Phoned Nokia and they tild me they would telephone me when they had a fix.  Have I been fobbed off?

I'm on Vodafone and I loaded the link for the app straight from the link above onto my phone and when run it searched for my settings and found numerous different providers.  I selected Vodafone UK and then tested it by sending a picture to myself.  At first I thought it hadn't worked as there was a long silence but a few minutes later the message bleep went off and hey presto I recieved the message back ... MMS again, happy days.

I got a lumia710 last week from Vodafone. Can't mms at all. I spent 3 hoist talking to Nokia rep he was unable to help. Vodafone were useless no help at all. Lady in local Vodafone shop tried for 3 hours. Then I found the network app in marketpplace downloaded guikly and easily found some settings and it worked. Feeling proud and even smug till the nest day(today!) and no mms again. Why? I also think the settings changed overnight. Can anyone tell me what the settings should be for Vodafone UK pay monthly please as I just cannot get it going again. Why don't Vodafone or Nokia deal with this?

I have the Lumia 800. MMS worked at first then stopped. Nokia sent me the apn settings but they didn't work. Can't install the Network setup app as there's no install button. Any ideas on what to do next?

re-posting from another thread: before messing with apn settings and god knows what make sure you have re-enabled 'data transfer' under settings-network. MMS are data...

All of the MMS/Data APN configuration problems have been resolved for me since updating to firmware 12070 and Network Setup 1.6.3.0.
