Hello,

I purchased few days ago a Lumia 920 (RM821).

The phone never connects in H+, and does not have any LTE option?

This phone comes from Emirates, and is sim lock free.

Was should be done to be able to connect in H+ and not H only, and have LTE options?

Do you have a 4G/LTE enabled sim card?
Are you in a country that has the correct LTE frequencies for the phone?

H+ is not available in all areas or all networks as it is a feature that the network needs to have enabled on their equipment. Where I live in the UK I only see H+ once or twice a week in certain areas.

The LTE option has only been enabled on handsets specific to markets where LTE has been properly launched. The remaining handsets will receive updates to enable this when LTE is finally launched in those specific countries. 

Connection to H or H+ is subject to network availability and signal quality. H is what I normally get here in Dublin but sometimes it drops down to 3G and there are one or 2 locations where I have seen H+. Just like you. LTE is not yert enmabled on my phones but I have been promised, I will receive an update to enable it when it is available.

No LTE here (Kenya). Dont know in Emirates (from where the Lumia came).

For H+, I am in an area where the DC-HSDPA is active, and I am enjoying it through a dongle on daily basis.

There is no explanation why H+ is not appearing other than a Lumia 920 limitation.

No LTE where you are and I guess your sim isn't LTE either will explain why you don't see the option for it.

You'll need to contact the network about H+ as there's no settings that control it in the phone. Could be a sim issue.

Not a SIM issue. Just tested the SIM in my DC dongle. Works okay.

If you feel it is the phone you need to take it to a Nokia care centre for inspection. Unfortunately there is nothing that we can do to help you with it here.

Good news here.

Phone update done this morning.

Did not write down from which initial versions i was coming from, but after update:

OS version: 8.0.10211.204

FW revision number 1232.5951.1249.1002

HW revision number 1.0.0.0

Radio SW version: 1.0.202075.3

Results: H+ is now available, 4G option available within the phone (in spite of not having a LTE SIM).

So yes, there are some Lumia 920 that are sold with some restrictions depending on its origin region.

Note for others: I have lumia 920 RM-821_im_mea3_306
