Since the upate to HERE my battery life has gone from tolerable to dreadful. I'm not a heavy user and was easily getting a full day of use and standby, but since last week 8 hours of standby and it's flat. Last night I took it off charge at 23:00 and it was flat at 06:30. I know the phone is capable of much more because a few weeks ago it lasted for three days with calls, SMS and data use. I have done the usual disabling of background apps and I always back out of open apps. Have also done a soft reset. I really like this phone/WP8 combination but it's not much use if I can't trust it to last at least a day.

Just wondering if the Here appsa are closing down properly. Tey rebboting the phone by pressing and holding the vol down and power button for around 10 seconds until the phone vibrates. This is the same as a battery pull and you should not lose any data. You may need to reset the time afterwards. Don't run any of the Here apps after this and see if battery life improves. Once you confirm this, try running the apps and then see if the battery life is affected. If it recurs then try uninstalling and reinstalling the Here apps.

Already tried rebooting last night and it made no difference. I've just recharged and deleted the HERE apps so let's see how it goes now.

I was suspicious of the new updates causing battery issues too. It's either Transit or City Lens as my battery returned to normal after removing those. Drive and maps are still installed on mine.

So it's looking like the HERE apps!! Phones been off the charger for about 5 hours now and it's showing 98% and it will last another 9 1/2 days  

I've also noticed how cold the phone feels now, normally it feels very slightly warm in standby. I'll try putting Drive and Maps back on later and see what happens.
