I used to monitor "New" applications on the Marktplace and they usually updated every day or two, now, fo weeks I have the same - the "top 3" are:
You tube downloader
BT Wi-Fi
Flash Cinema
and they've been there for at least a week. Other things work OK, though the "loading" of anyting on the markeplace takes much longer than before even when connected t the same WiFi speed as before) - for example, there is about a minute between when I touch an app on the apearing app-list and until I see the "install" "cancel" buttons (usually, I see some of the info loading, but not all and it takes age. I've restarted etc many times, no joy.
My question - is it the same for all other users of Marktplace? Do we all see the same? What cud have gone wrong in terms of "New" apps? What can I do to resolve this?

It has centainly been updating for me on my Lumia 920. Will have to check on my Lumia 800 later this evening. It is possible that there haven't been any new apps available for your phone in your region in the last few weeks. Could be due to the fact that most developers are concentrating on the WP8 apps at the moment. This could also be the reason why the marketplace is little slower, will all the owners of new Lumia 920 and 820 downloading although I must say I have not noticed any difference myself.

thank cjlim,
I live in UK, it is highly unlikely that the UK is a "region" where apps are not updated. but does it mean that from now on, there will be very few new apps availabl for WP7 phones?
Also, I wonder how to ask if other Lumia 800s have the same issues

No way of knowing what the developers are up to. Obviously developers have commercial reasons for writing apps. They will continue to support any platform as long as they perceive there to be an economic return for it. At the moment all the buzz is with WP8. I am sure when things settle down they will reasses their options.
I will have a look at my Lumia 800 this evening. It has been sidelined a little since I got the 920.

cjlim, any chance to check your 800 for "new" apps?
Also, is it true that the 920 is freezing/rebooting? What's your experience?

Opps! Forgot to check. Will try to remember tonight.
It is true that some Lumia 920's are freezing and rebooting. Mine only ever frooze once but that was my fault entirely. I installed an app I was not suposed to. It wan't even suposed to be available in my region. Apart from that, it has behaved perfectly. The same is true for 15 other Lumia 920's I am familiar with. The problem seems to be afflicting a small number of predominantly AT&T branded handsets. Some instances appear to relate to apps while others seem to relate to 4G connectivity. Probably just teething issues with any new product.

I would suggest that one of the reasons that your Marketplace Apps are not updating is due to the fact that very few are being created as the Lumia 800 is fundamentally out of date (and was from the day it was released), it is not able to be updated to Windows 8 and is therefore rendered useless, very much like my old iphone 3 which upon the introduction of the 4.3 software became redundant.

Just checked out "new" apps. There is only one new app in the last 2 weeks. Sayng that, I did get a bunch of updates though.

cjlim,
surely, it can't be right! One, 1, new app in the last two weeks? Does it mean that from now on, there will be NO more new apps for WP7? This is a disgrace. Imagine that you are told that there wud be no new programmes for your Wndows 7 PC...
Can someone from Nokia explain this?

Its all to do with supply and demand when it comes to apps. They are developed by 3rd party developers who are motivated by financial returns. As long as the demand is there, they will keep delivering. I imagine a lot of them are currently concentrating on wp8 apps. Once the dust settles, I woud imagine they will be looking at wp7 apps as well since the devices are still being sold and used in large numbers.
This is a user to user support forum so it is unlikely that you will get a comment from Nokia here. If you wish to contact them directly, you can do so using the Nokia Support tab to the bottom right. However, you should note that the apps Marketplace is run by Microsoft and not Nokia.

Im also having problems since yesterday i noticed on my Lumia 900 apps not appearing to update, they keep appearing in marketplace when you try and update them it says no downloads and then there are no updates in marketplace, going back to the main screen then it says there are the same 6 updates again.... rebooting phone does not work.
