I used the link above and found nothing specific about whether or not I'd be getting the update. I have this phone via AT&T in the States, I was told through several channels that every Lumia 900 would be getting the update, and getting it first. I don't understand why my phone would randomly be the one exception.

sounds like you will need to contact AT&T directly about this matter, it is up to the network carrier to either provide the update or not, not Nokia.

Did you try a manual check? (Phone update/check for updates)?

I've done that, gone through the settings and everything, connected to Zune, tried the WiFi trick to get it to register with the server, but every time I get nothing. It just keeps saying my phone is up to date. I know other people with the same phone, in the same area, all of which now have the 7.8 update. It's frustrating.

Where is the option to do that? The website just keeps telling me to download Zune. That obviously doesn't work.

No it's not your account, you just have to wait.
Here in Ireland for example the update has been released on the networks, some can get it, some networks are still holding back.
So contact your network. There is nothing else you can do.

Yeah... I have a Lumia 900 too and I am waiting for that update just like you.

I live in Sweden and my phone is not locked.

Looks like I will get another phone until this update will be available for my L900...
